Certification International, a leader in the assessment and certification of international, national and industry standards, says it has experienced a dramatic increase in demand for certification from companies wanting to meet information security and environmental standards.
Since 2008, the number of certificates issued for IS0 27001:2005 for information security management has increased by 800%. And the number of certificates issued for ISO 14001:2004 for environmental management has increased 300%.
The figures have been released as companies around the UK prepare to mark World Quality Day, an event aimed at promoting awareness of quality and to encourage individuals’ development and organisations’ prosperity.
