MJ Church reaches new standards

MJ Church has gained certification for quality, environmental & health and safety standards through Certification International.

MJ Church is a leading civil engineering, earthworks and waste management contractor operating throughout the South West of England and South Wales. The company achieved ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 ensuring first class quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems are in operation throughout the business.

Steve Blower, managing director at MJ Church, says: “Quality, environmental and health and safety practices are central to all of our operations. We endeavour to improve the systems we have in place for the benefit of our staff and customers. Achieving certification in these important areas is recognition of the procedures we have in place. Certification International made the journey to certification easier and helped us understand what was needed throughout the assessment process, highlighting areas where change or development was required in order to improve. We will continue to analyse and improve our performance across all of our sites to ensure high standards are maintained.”

Emma Fawcett-Jones, UK business manager at Certification International says: “In achieving certification for quality, environmental and health and safety management systems, MJ Church has demonstrated it is committed to continuous improvement of its business practices. We’re pleased to have worked with them through the assessment journey and hope they benefit from the value of achieving certification in three key areas.”
