Certification International achieves ISO 50001:2011 Accreditation

Certification International is proud to announce that it has been awarded ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management accreditation with UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).

The ISO 50001 energy management standard is a proven framework for organizations and facilities (both industrial and commercial) to manage energy, including all aspects of energy procurement and use.  An Energy Management System institutes the structure and discipline to implement technical and management strategies that significantly cut energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions — and to then sustain those savings.  Savings can come from operational improvements, the majority of which are low or no-cost changes.   The potential however is significant – some industrial facilities for example are reducing their energy costs by 10% within eighteen months of achieving certification to ISO 50001.

ISO 50001 is for any organisation that wants to take control of their energy use and subsequent energy costs and if you already hold certification to ISO 14001, the basic framework for ISO 50001 is already in place.  Contact us today on 01793 492892 to find out how much ISO 50001 Energy Management certification could cost for your business – and how much it could save.
