SOCOTEC Certifcation International in Japan can assess GHG emissions and follow up on the improvements until validation.
SOCOTEC Certification International, a growing company, is constantly seeking to obtain new accreditations in the countries in which it operates. The accreditation process is the result of strong focus put on excellence, quality, and commitment of teams to ensure a high level of service.
SOCOTEC Certification International’s Japanese team, has announced that they obtained JAB accreditation for greenhouse gases, ISO 14065.
In line with our values of providing ever more advanced expertise, being responsive and staying close to our clients, this new accreditation supports the environmental transition of our clients and partners. Indeed, JAB accreditation on greenhouse gases will allow us to offer companies operating in Japan. It is a way of transitioning to a more sustainable activity with better recognition.
Clients in Japan are involved into such strategic processes and thus are engaged to get a certification on this standard after meeting the requirements and expectations at every step of the certification process.
By auditing the content of reports issued by companies or organizations, obliged to report their GHG emissions under government policies or simply committed to deliver voluntary reports, SOCOTEC Certifcation International in Japan can then assess their GHG emissions and follow up on the improvements until validation.
In Japan, each ministry or municipality has its own GHG reduction system, and to operate the system, external verification of GHG emissions is required. For some systems that require ISO14065, SOCOTEC Certification International can accompany the concerned companies in Japan.
In addition, an increasing number of large companies are voluntarily issuing reports in order to improve their corporate image and gain external understanding and evaluation. Moreover, these reports are also subject to verification, although of course they are not mandatory.
This verification is generally performed annually, and once acquired, ISO audits are likely to be conducted on a yearly basis.
Furthermore, carbon taxes will be introduced in many parts of the world. Carbon emissions are expected to be calculated for trading in order to reduce emissions throughout the supply chain.
In our world where environmental challenges are intertwined, SOCOTEC Certification International is proud to contribute to the verification of environmental measures, in particular greenhouse gases.
